Ron White Comedy Salute to air in March on CMT

Kathleen joined friend and fellow comic Ron White a while back for the taping of the Ron White Comedy Salute to the Troops. Ron is a faithful supporter of the Armed Forces Foundation and proceeds from the show went to support their amazing organization. Ron White’s Vegas Salute to the Troops 2013 premiers Friday, March 15 at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT. Filmed live at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Ron and Kathleen are joined by comedians Josh Blue, John Caparulo, Ralphie May and Brian Regan for the third anniversary of the show dedicated to those who serve in the military.

The cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking White headlines the 90-minute special, giving his thoughts on being banned from the popular dating site “Christian Mingle,” having as many Tour de France wins as Lance Armstrong, and offering advice on child rearing. The special also includes interviews with Sgt. Jonny Joseph “Joey” Jones, and Paige and Jeff McDonald, parents of the late soldier Chris McDonald. Jones is a U.S. Marine who lost both of his legs while serving in Afghanistan and the McDonald’s lost their son to PTSD in March of 2012. Both Jones and the McDonald’s work closely with the Armed Forces Foundation.
